From the fact that the earth’s globe is three-dimensional, there arises a projection problem, that of projecting a two-dimensional map on a three-dimensional globe.
There exist several kinds of projections of the earth and world maps for this purpose.
With the fascination towards visual projection representations, I am trying to create my own two-dimensional representations (which, scientifically speaking did not succeed till now), by once again redrawing these different projection pictures.
During the filming of the various world maps, the picture starts to get abstract and there emerges a coincidental, visual aesthetic of the projection problem.
